Marketing Internship
DEPARTMENT: Marketing/Communications-Mktg
WORK LOCATION: Grand Rapids - Kraft Lake
POSITION PAY RANGE: $12.00 - 12.00, Hourly (Please note: Actual pay offered will be commensurate with candidate qualifications and experience, the type of role, pay equity and available funding)
SUMMARY:
This student worker position assists the Marketing and Communications Department with various activities including writing and posting blogs via WordPress; writing, building and sending emails via the Pardot marketing automation system to internal and external audiences; helping to keep websites and event calendars up to date; and coordinating the placement of content on the university’s various websites and social media channels. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the university’s mission, vision, and values which include diversity, equity and inclusion.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write and edit content including emails, Davenpost blogs, DU Review articles and social media posts
- Find and size photos for blog posts, emails, etc. and tag photos in the internal database
- Assist in keeping event calendars and university websites up to date
- Set up projects and helping to maintain the project management system, Asana
- Build and send emails via the Pardot marketing automation system to internal and external audiences including, but not limited to, monthly subscriber digests, partner newsletters, university-wide emails
- Coordinate the placement of blog and magazine content across university channels
- Research and contribute marketing and communications ideas to the team
- Assist with special projects, research and other assignments as needed
- Handle documents and maintain appropriate confidentiality
- Provide GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers
- Demonstrate and promote the University Cultural Values
- Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations.
