Marketing Manager
Position Summary
The Marketing Manageris a full time position. This position will work collaboratively with colleagues throughout Institutional Advancement and academic units to lead the planning and managementof marketing campaigns that promote Bellevue College's brand, academic offerings and services to primarily support the Continuing Education (CE) division, specifically the Tombolo Institute and Community Education. The position contributes to the development of digital marketing strategies, and develops and executes digital marketing campaigns that promote and grow the College's CE and other offerings and services.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Position Salary Range: $73,539/year - $106,632/year
The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Typically, new hire starts no higher than $81,812/year based on Bellevue College Exempt salary schedule.

The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per workweek. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, which means that you are not eligible for overtime pay.

About the Department
The Institutional Advancement (IA) Division of Bellevue College works across the full academic enterprise to solidify a multi-faceted culture of brand awareness, philanthropy, and internal and external engagement. IA supports the College's mission by increasing awareness of, advocacy for, engagement in, and giving to Bellevue College. As part of the IA division, the Marketing & Communications department is responsible for stewarding the BC brand and driving the college's marketing strategy to increase awareness, support enrollment, and drive community engagement.
Essential Functions
Marketing Strategy
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns aligned with the strategies to promote Continuing Education programs and courses, with a focus on the Tombolo Institute and Community Education, to increase public participation in these programs and grow revenues.
• Recommend marketing ideas and suggestions to CE leadership and mangement to improve approaches, methodologies and productivity.
• Develop a marketing schedule that aligns with CE events and course listings.
• Administer digital marketing budget within approved parameters.
Digital Advertising and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Manage and optimize digital advertising campaigns on various platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads) to drive enrollments and increase brand awareness.
• Select outreach platforms considering the ADA and privacy requirements of the College, and work to build sustainable digital marketing strategies around those platforms.
• Develop and implement the utilization of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to improve the visibility and ranking of Tombolo Institute and Community Education websites and landing pages.
Email Marketing
• Plan, develop copy based on partnership with programs, and execute email marketing campaigns to targeted audiences, including newsletter campaigns, drip campaigns, and automated email campaigns.
Content Creation and Social Media
• Create engaging content through collaboration with the division's program coordinators and subject matter experts that highlights the unique features and benefits of the various courses and programs offered.
• Develop and manage social media marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) to engage with audiences and increase brand awareness.
• Using social media distribution, post out on channels on a consistent basis.
• Create digital and physical assets in line with campaign goals.
• Create cross-platform campaigns targeting both general knowledge and specific goals.
Data Analysis and Research
• Conduct ongoing audits and reporting to stakeholders about performance across platforms. Produce regular reports on performance of the campaigns towards goals. Develop recommendations for adjustment of resources and goals baed on an understanding of the data gleaned from campaigns on impact.
• Use internal and external resources to understand the impact of marketing programs on student enrollment in courses.
• Build recommendations to adjust resources and goals based on quantitative understanding of impact and learning from campaigns.
• Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends, tools, and marketing methods and incorporate them into the division's marketing strategies.
• Ensure appropriate understanding of market challenges, success factors, and priorities to inform all strategic marketing efforts.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Any combination of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on lead generation, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
• Proven experience in developing and executing successful digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels and platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SEO, email marketing, social media marketing, and digital advertising best practices and tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience in crafting compelling marketing copy.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation to optimize digital campaigns.
• Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive insights and optimization recommendations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including program managers and subject matter experts.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse colleagues and/or students in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in higher education marketing or marketing for professional development and continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of marketing automation tools, such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot.
• Experience in website development and content management systems, such as WordPress, Drupal, or Squarespace.
• Familiarity with graphic design and video editing software, such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
• Knowledge of local and regional business and industry trends to inform marketing strategies.
• Passion for education and a desire to help promote and grow the offerings of Bellevue College's Continuing Education division.
