Digital Marketing Manager
Overview:
The Digital Marketing Manager is an integral member of the Communications and Marketing team, with a vital role in capturing the CORE voice and storytelling across social media channels, our website and email marketing. The Manager will be responsible for creating effective content to raise awareness of and funding for CORE’s global humanitarian mission to empower vulnerable communities. Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing, the ideal candidate will be a strong writer and content producer who understands the importance of storytelling across digital channels while having a strong understanding of performance metrics, analytics and attention to detail. The Manager will work with colleagues around the world to ensure our messaging about CORE’s work is accurate and current.
Job Duties:
- In partnership with the Director, Digital Marketing, develop and execute a social media content strategy to drive engagement across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube and TikTok
- Contribute to a comprehensive content calendar that aligns with CORE’s strategic communications strategy and helps us grow our online audiences via organic and paid campaigns
- Ideate, develop, and project manage digital marketing collateral including social posts, photo carousels, video including Reels and social media toolkits
- Work across departments to identify content that drives brand awareness and donations
- Be responsible for channel and community management, including ensuring CORE’s social media channels are up to date with the most relevant information; monitoring and responding to comments, questions, and other relevant inquiries
- Analyze, track campaigns and build dashboards for performance metrics across channels to help achieve KPIs; provide concrete suggestions based on data analysis
- Utilize WordPress CMS system to consistently update content on the CORE website
- Support creation and dissemination of emails via HubSpot, partnering with Director to set up test plans and monitor results
- Serve as key team resource during emergency responses; keep channels constantly updated
- Support multi-channel marketing campaigns and social advertising efforts to drive donations, ensuring tracking and accurate reporting are set up correctly
- Monitor digital trends and utilize social listening software to better understand relevant issues
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of social media management experience; Nonprofit or NGO experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or relevant field
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Experience using social media management platforms such as Later or Hootsuite
- Basic to intermediate experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud programs and video editing tools
- Experience using Google Analytics or native analytics functionality
- Experience in paid ads, tracking and analysis including set up to ensure accurate tracking and data collection
- Understanding of brand awareness and retention funnels is a plus
- Exceptional, demonstrated written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent attention to detail and temperament for working in a deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and project management skills
- Open to learning new software and systems, including project management and design tools
- Works well with direction but also works well autonomously when needed, takes proactive approach to keep projects and goals on track. Must be a team player
- Strong ability to work across departments, countries, and time zones
- Passion for service, humanitarian relief, international development and/or global health
- As we’re a humanitarian disaster response organization, must be open to occasionally working outside normal business hours or on weekends
This role is based out of Los Angeles, with a hybrid remote and in-person work modality. The Manager will be expected to visit the LA CORE HQ office at least 1-2 days weekly.
$65,000 - $75,000 a year
